Downloading sample sessions
Sample sessions of each Unit of Building Success and the Introduction to Building Success are available from the website teamsthatwork.co.uk. They are supplied for reasonable evaluation purposes only. This includes using the session(s) with trainees. Points 1, 5, and 6 of the terms of the general licence are also applicable when downloading sample copies. Copies of the sample sessions may be freely supplied to others for evaluation, subject to the same terms as apply to downloading files from the website. By downloading a sample of a session of Building Success you are accepting these terms.

General Licence for the purchase of units of Building Success

The licensor, in selling any Unit of Building Success, grants the licensee the right to print as many copies of the materials as required for a period of two years from the date of invoice, subject to the following conditions:

  1. Safety and security
    The licensors have taken reasonable precautions to prevent the disks being physically damaged or the files being contaminated by viruses or similar before despatch to licensees. It is the licensees' responsibility to visually check the disks for signs of physical damage and to run a virus check before using the CD-ROM. The licensors accept no responsibility for any damage done to the licensees' hardware or software by using the CD-ROM.

  2. Using the materials
    The materials may only be used as part of a training programme with people employed by (including people on 'self-employed' contracts and sub-contractors to the licensee) or contracted to be trained by the licensee. This latter includes colleges and training providers running programmes exclusively for individual employers and 'open' programmes, recruiting individuals from a variety of employers or people not in employment. The materials may not be passed onto other organisations, whether separately owned or jointly owned with or by the licensee for the use by that other organisation as part of its training activities. Copies may be supplied for evaluation.

  3. Copying the files
    Licensees may copy the files (subject to the conditions in point 1) from the CD-ROM onto the hard disk of a PC or similar in order to print copies for the use specified in point 2, and keep the CD-ROM as a safety back-up. Access to the copies and to the original CD-ROMs supplied by the licensee should be limited to those running training programmes for which Building Success has been purchased. This does not prevent licensees from sending a copy of any of the Building Success files electronically (over an intranet or the Internet) to people on a training programme (eg by email attachment) for them to print out copies for their use. However, open access to the files on a network of computers (including organisations' own intranets and the Internet) is prohibited unless their is some system of passwords or other restrictions to ensure that only legitimate users have access. Legitimate is defined by reference to point 2.

  4. Length of the licence
    The licensor will offer the licensee the opportunity to renew the licence for a further two years at the end of the licence period, on payment of an additional fee. Licensees may also be offered the opportunity to upgrade to later version of Building Success. Licensees who fail to renew their licence at the end of the two year licence period and continue to make copies of the materials for any purpose may be guilty of a criminal offence.

  5. Change of format
    The Units of Building Success are supplied as Adobe Acrobat (portable document format or .pdf) files. They may only be used in that format and may not be amended in any way. Copies must show the international copyright symbol (©) and the names of the copyright owners (The Institute of Leadership and Management and QMD Ltd) on each page. Acrobat Reader is supplied by Adobe and its use is subject to the conditions imposed by Adobe. The Institute of Leadership and Management and QMD Ltd accept no responsibility for the operation of any third party software required to enable access to and use of Building Success.

  6. Relevant jurisdiction
    This licence agreement will be governed by the law of England.

  7. Acceptance
    By purchasing a copy of Building Success you are accepting the terms of this licence agreement. Any variation to these terms is only possible by an agreement in writing by the licensors and the licensee for which additional fees may be required.
